After the 4 series Gran coupe, BMW revealed X3 crossover with important updates. It has received significant changes in appearance and fuel efficient engines. The SUV has got new headlights with optional LEDs, modified grille and bumpers. Under the hood are significant changes with the offering of economical drive-train. BMW claims that it produces lowest CO2 emissions in the segment. Interior has been given a boost with updated infotainment system and new built-in touchpad for iDrive controller which allows you to access application like Facebook, Twitter and Internet radio with ease. BMW X3 is also equipped with park assist system and collision warning system.
The outer dimensions are virtually unchanged in the face-lift version of X3. The length has grown by one millimeter to 4657 mm while width, wheelbase and cargo space remain same and measures 2089 mm, 2810 mm and 550 liters respectively. BMW X3 will come with six engine choices which includes three petrol and three diesel with power ranging from 150 hp to 306 hp. The most efficient model in X3 line-up is sDrive 18d that delivers 5.0 liter/100 km and 131 gm/km of CO2 emission. The peak power is 150 bhp and 360 Nm(265 lb-ft) of torque. The entry-level X3 will cost US $ 39,325 inclusive of destination charges. BMW will launch updated version of the crossover X3 at Geneva motor Show in March.
