Kia motor company unveiled the prototype of compact crossover Niro. The production model of the concept is not yet included in the plans of the Korean automaker which could become a potential rival to Nissan Juke, Opel Mokka and Renault Captur. However, the automaker intends to evaluate the reaction of people to the new design elements that may appear in future KIA production models.
The concept car is designed by KIA European design studio, which is located near Frankfurt. In its appearance the concept displays character, style, reliability and masculinity. The design was created bas
ed on the taste of motorist from the European countries. Kia said that the concept car Niro has an innovative propulsion system, but the details will be revealed at Frankfurt motor show. We’re guessing it will be some sort of electric or hybrid drive. Kia Niro has green features, including the rims, grille and new pointy headlights at front. The most attractive feature is of course the doors opening upward, something that probably will not show up in the production version. In addition to the new concept car, the company will also show European variants of crossover Soul and Optima sedan.
