New Flagship from German Automaker, Mercedes S 600 will be showcased next week but the pictures and facts are already revealed. Mercedes proven twin-turbo 6 liter V12 engine is upgraded to meet Euro 6 emission standard. The monster engine is the same which will come in S 65 AMG which develops 630 hp and an impressive 1000 Nm of torque between 2300-5400 rpm. These figures are enough to acclerate the S 65 AMG from 0-60 mph in 4.3 seconds. But the engine is detuned for S 600 which will develop 530 Hp and 830 Nm of torque from 1900-400 rpm. Top speed will be electronically limited upto 250 Km/hr.
Those who want to have the same engine but discreet exterior and a bit softer ride will soon have a new option. The fuel consumption in S 600 will be be slightly better than S 65 AMG i.e. 11.9 liter/100 km as compared to 11.3 liter/100 km. CO2 emmissions are also down to 264 g/Km. According to the new pictures, there are no significant changes to the exterior and interior. The few noticeable changes are V12 badges and four rectangular exhaust pipes.
