Mercedes has introducted latest V-class in it’s range. Previously the model was also called Viano, but Mercedes has decided to launch under V-class name. Mercedes has decided to end the production of R-class. The latest generation offers a completely new design language that we see in the current model range. V-class can be highly customizable and can be ordered in length measuring 4895 mm, 5170 mm and 5370 mm. It is also available in short and long wheelbase versions.
Mercedes will offer three engines for V-class. The 200 CDI has four cylinders and develops 136 hp and 330 Nm(243 lb-ft) of torque. 220 CDI develops 163 hp and 250 Bluetech Hybrid version develops 190 Hp and 440 hp(324 lb-ft) of torque. The interior is completely new with enhanced quality feel and latest generation media system. The decor is much more lavish as compared to the previous model. By default the car is equipped with 2+2+2 layout but an option of 2+3+3 scheme is also available. The chairs can swivel to give the right business class feel. It is also possible to lower the rear seats to form a bed. Mercedes V-class will also be available as a commercial vehicle. It will be called Vito.
