Nissan has launched new Terrano SUV in mumbai, India. The new sport utility vehicle is based on Renault Duster. The new Nissan Terrano differs from its french brother by new fender, grille, headlights, taillights and new 16 inch alloy wheels. The two tone interior of Terrano SUV is made using good quality materials which add a little more luster, a beige color scheme, new steering wheel and slightly modified dashboard. The air conditioning outlet is available for the rear seat occupants and a new sound system with USB and Bluetooth. It is also assumed that later an automatic and four wheel drive version will be offered by the company. Terrano will be manufactured at the Oragadam plant along-with Micra, Sunny and Evalia.
Nissan Terrano will be offered with three engines choices. A 1.6 liter gasoline engine developing 102 hp and two versions of 1.5 liter diesel engines tuned to produce 85 and 110 hp respectively. Booking for the SUV will start from 1st September, 2013 and it will be 1000 USD costlier than Duster. The car is specifically designed for India and it is unclear whether it will be available in other countries. The fourth-generation Nissan Terrano will be available in six attractive colors. Retail price as announced by the company is 10 lakh rupees or 15000 US dollars.
