At Indian Auto Show, Volkswagen showed it’s small SUV Taigun. The car is displayed as a concept but according to Volkswagen, it is production ready which means we can expect minor changes to the final launch. Volkswagen Taiguan, not to be confused with larger SUV Tiguan, has been displaced before in Brasil and since then the concept has considerably enhanced. Exterior changes include a new rear and spare wheel at the back. The four seater small SUV will be powered by 1.0 liter 3 cylinder direct-injection Turbo engine which develops 110 hp and 175 Nm(129 lb-ft) of Torque. It is enough for the car to accelerate from standstill to 60 mph in 9.2 seconds.
Volkswagen Taigun will have a top speed of 186 km/hr(115.5 mph ). It will deliver 4.7 liter/100 km and CO2 emissons of 110 gm/km. The luggage compartment holds 280 liters of cargo and is increased to 996 liters when rear seats are fold down. Volkswagen has not disclose any date about the launch of finished product.
